Hi everybody, this happens to be my first review and I am very excited about it. So today we are going to dig deep in to the facts and specifications of Nokia N900.Lets begin
Introduction:
N900 is an all new smart phone from Nokia that works on Maeom OS. It has got a smart user interface that makes operations so much easier and fun. The phone has all the features that you expect a smart phone to have like touch screen, QWERTY keypad, Apps, Camera and many other features too. Let’s jump in to find out what this phone has to offer.

Design: Nokia N900 comes with a touch screen (very responsive) and the QWERTY is also good. The only thing hussy about the phone is the size. It is slightly big when compared to other smart phones but it fits in the pocket.
The overall look of the phone is not too impressive but it has all the components of glossy finish and is smooth to hold. There are literally no buttons on the front cowl of the phone (not even call buttons). Nokia has always paid more attention to the entertainment factor and N900 is no exception. The phone has got speakers on both the ends making entertainment fun and loud.
N900 also sports ports for various uses. It has got a MicroSD port, USB port (used for data transfers and charging your device), a unlock key (on the right), 3.5 mm audio jack (can also be used as TV output), stylus, Volume rocker keys, turn off button and a camera dedicated key. Not to forget the 5 mega pixel camera with shutter, LED flash and kick stand. All in all, it has got all the ports that one may require in the normal course of time.
User Interface:
The UI of N900 is just awesome with cool layout and smart operating system. One can easily try their hand on multitasking without any difficulty whatsoever. The interface comes with sprawling colors with good looking icons. The use of Maeom platform has added a feather in Nokia’s cap. One could easily browse through all the options at one touch without any difficulty. The notification lights, delivery reports and other lights (including flash) are very responsive and work just fine. Overall the user interface is quiet good.

Let’s dig deeper:
QWERTY Keypad: The keypad is quiet good. In fact the keys are a bit hard to press (specially the numbered keys) but one can easily find the way to work with them after spending some time with the keypad.
Touch Screen: The phone comes with a good and responsive touch screen. The users can also find their way multi tasking. This smart phone does not hang easily unless some malware is operating.

Connectivity: The Nokia N900 has got everything that is required to connect the phone with the outer world. It obviously has Bluetooth, GPRS, 3G and a dedicated Wi-Fi connectivity. The USB port helps you to charge your phone and as well connect it to your P.C.
Music: Nokia has specially paid attention to enhance the Music capabilities of the device. The phone comes with dual speakers located on either ends of the device. Not only the speakers are awesome but the sound quality too is great. Especially with headphones on, you can hear every beat clearly.

Messaging and Mails: Messaging on N900 is fun and innovative as you can used Apps like G talk, Yahoo messenger to forecast your messages to your friends. E mail also works well on this phone as it supports various clients like G mail, Yahoo, Hotmail and others.
Web Browsing: Web Browsing is probably the most essential part of the day. With N900 you get speed, synchronization and compatibility with all the websites. The device has internet tablet that deserves the title of nothing but the best. With a good wide screen, N900 seriously brings you P.C like browsing experience without compromising on the speed.
The phone sports Flash 9.4 which means that you can watch any flash video and play any flash game online. Apart from these features, one can also connect their mobile to the TV and watch the online videos on their TV sets. The only thing bad about the browser is that you will not be able to open new tabs but can open new windows.
Camera: Camera is one of the most essential elements of our phone and we want to have an excellent camera. Is N900 having an exceptional camera? Lets find out:
N900 comes with a 5 mega pixel camera and also has an auto focus. The camera is good with a digital zoom up to 3x. It also has a tessar lens which comes with Carl Zeiss (known for clear pics). A shutter and a kick stand also accompany the camera for protection. Overall the camera is good and takes flawless pictures every single time.

Verdict: The phone looks cool with certain good and bad things. The Meaom platform is not utilized to the fullest by Nokia. But one should see that this is the first phone that has a Meaom platform. Looking at the features and specs, you can go for this phone. Go for this phone only if you like surfing and being online 24*7. This phone may not be the ideal choice for rough handlers.
